Was the GM auto bailout a good idea? What exactly do taxpayers get for the billions? There is a national political campaign discussing these issues including talks about banks, banking regulations and deregulation.Mortgage loans were an initial significant part of the problem. Deeper underlying issues include trade and development and the economic rise of China, Russia, Brazil, India and the Middle East among others areas. Michael Moore covers some of these important topics in his latest documentary Capitalism, a Love Story...a movie I cant wait to see.

Oct 1, 2009 - Have you heard something about the chinese gold transfer to Hongkong? Are they going to shift all their gold to Hk or just a protion of their overall deposited GLD?I´ve heard rumors ( i think it has been from RT) about a new type of GLD trade based on real exchange of bullion... kind of incinerating paper gold in the near term. It´s dead silence on this topic in the mainstream media.

Oct 1, 2009 - there isnt much news on this -- but there is definitely a move by China to 1) buy more gold with govt funds 2) encourage citizens to buy gold and 3) move away from the dollar

Oct 8, 2009 - This is my favorite video. It's simple. I'm not even an economist or a business man, I'm 18. It's all understandable, you have to stop, then start, you can't carry out moves that defy logic in a brilliant country unless there is must I say "monolithic conspiracy" as John F Kennedy phrased it and as I say It's not easy to tango with.
